TrustID allows for automated right-to-work checks in the UK. Once set up, staff can upload their identification via their site, which, once verified externally by TrustID, will be stored on your staff member's documents in StaffSavvy.
Using TrustID has an additional cost per document, which will be invoiced monthly. To use this feature, you must first set it up for your company within the system.
Step 1
The first step would be to go to Global Settings > Integration and then enable TrustID to set up the integration for your system.
Step 2
From here, you first need to add a classification so that staff will be asked to upload a certain type of right-to-work document.
you can go to a staff member's account > Documents > Employment Eligibility > Choose classification (Staff members can check themselves via onboarding or sign up).
Step 3
Once a right to work has been set, this will appear on a staff member's dashboard as it needs to be completed by the staff member. The staff member will be directed to 'complete the right to work checks via TrustID'.
Once they're on this screen, they can select 'Upload to TrustID' - This will then take them to a trust ID page, where they can scan a QR code on their phone, add documents, and take photos of themselves.
Staff do not need (or receive) any access to TrustID. Once the new staff member has uploaded their dates and completed the verification steps, TrustID will process the data.
Results
Normally, we'll receive the result within 10 minutes, which will be automatically added to their profile.
If it fails, they are notified and asked to complete the process again or speak to your HR team.
If they pass, we load the copies of the documents checked to their profile. We will then also load the Digital Right to Work report from TrustID.
This report requires verification to ensure the person who shows up to work is the person in the photos. If necessary, you can do this through a video call.
That's the only step needed. Share codes and other documents are verified automatically; it's just the step to check that the documents submitted belong to the actual person.
What do you need to do?
As we are a reseller, you don't need to do anything with TrustID. You can enable the integration within the Global Settings, and we'll handle the rest.
The cost is £3 per document, which is the same as or lower than using TrustID directly (depending on your plan with them).
