Help! Not all staff are able to be assigned to shifts I've created

DS (Default Skill)

This might happen if you have Default Skills set up!

DS stands for Default Skill. It is an additional refinement on which staff should be used to populate the shift. With this ticked, only staff with the chosen skill as their 'default' skill will be used to populate the shift. So, only the staff who primarily work in this skill can be assigned the shift, rather than any staff member with the skill assigned as a secondary skill.

When disabled, the system will use any staff member with the fill from the skill assigned. This also has an additional mode, shown as a green tick with a plus (). In this mode, the scheduling tool assigns to default skill members first. If none are available, it expands to include all members of that skill.
