This is a quick start guide to help you update and setup your account quickly.
Note: this is a generic guide for all organisations using StaffSavvy. You might have some features disabled or might be prevented from updating some information.
Your Details
You might be required to update your details when you first log in. You can update your details at any time under the My Account menu at the top of the page.
Your basic information is under My Account > About Me > Update My Details.
This is where you can view and update the information stored about you on the system. Everything from your name, contact details, preferences on time formats and other information your organisation has decided to collect. There is also an area for system options, including colour scheme and default time.
Phone numbers and email addresses are no longer automatically under my details. If you wish to include these fields you will need to create them under data sets & fields. This is so you can restrict who has access to this information, making it more confidential.
Change Password
You are able to change or reset you password under the Change my Password tab which can now be found under ‘My account’ in the ‘About me’ section, then into the tab that says ‘Change my Password’.
You’ll need to enter your previous password at the same time. Your new password will need to be at least as long as the minimum character length set within the StaffSavvy system.
Your Availability & Time Off/Holiday
There are two ways to provide your availability. Both are under My Account > My Availability in the menu.
The weekly preferences page allows you to request not to work certain times during the week subject to restrictions and limits set by managers. You can update this information any time and we strongly recommend you keep it up to date as often as possible.
It won't affect the shifts you currently have but it will affect new shifts assigned to you. It will also stop the system from notifying you about optional shifts if you have said you are not available.
Time Off/ Holiday is where you can book your longer periods of time off or use your holiday entitlement. This will be sent off to managers to approve.
My Shifts
You can view your current shifts under Shifts > My Shifts. Here you might also be able to request cover or exchange shifts with colleagues. You can view the details page for more information about the shift.
Under the Actions menu in the top right of the page, you can find a link to the iCal feed. This allows you to have your shifts automatically sync'd to your device calendar.
The calendar feed now includes shift notes for each shift within the description field.
Available Shifts
This is found under Shifts > Available Shifts and will list all of the shifts that you could choose to work. You can then choose to take a shift or offer to work a shift from this page.
You can turn on email notifications for available shifts under you Edit My Details page.
