Welcome to StaffSavvy’s Recruitment Add-On.
This is an optional section of the site that is designed to help you publicise, receive the best applications, shortlist fairly and effectively, manage interviews and finally make job acceptance and on-boarding Step Lists easy. It comes at an additional-charge, so please get in touch with support if you are interested in including it.
As with all StaffSavvy tools, the recruitment add-on is designed to cope with large workforces and keep administration down to a minimum.
What does Recruitment include?
You can build everything you need for recruitment including, building job openings, having a portal applicants can view new jobs under, creating application forms and a scoring system all within StaffSavvy.
We will now introduce the elements that make up StaffSavvy recruitment.
Positions
Positions are the job openings that applicants are applying to. They contain all of the public information about the roles plus details on what should happen to successful applicants for that position. When building a position you will need to add a title and a job description.
Applications
Application forms are the core of the application process. An application form will include all the questions an applicant must answer. They are completely customisable and can feature any combination of questions, file requests or information blocks across any number of pages.
An application form will be assigned within a Position listing. It is common to create a new application for each position so that the questions are relevant.
Shortlisting
Within StaffSavvy we give you the tools to shortlist applicants With shortlisting methods created to help minimise the administration required to successfully and fairly measure applicants. These methods include:
- Scoring Answers out of Ten
- Scoring Answers out of Five
- Creating a Draft Decision/Quick Decision
The short listing method will either apply to the application as a whole based on the shortlisters judgement or will be carried out with applicants getting marks for each question the answer.
You can handpick who will be shortlisting and hide certain information from shortlisters that might affect decision making.
Scoring Forms
Scoring forms allow for more specificity in the recruitment process. You can now create your scoring form separately and assign it to the position at any time before you start scoring your applicants.
They are typically added during the interview process and can be used to mark interview questions as well as leaving information about the sort of way you expect/want applicants to respond.
Enabling the Recruitment Add-On
As the recruitment add-on has an additional cost, only users with both finance and global configuration access can enable the add-on.
Go to the global configuration page under System > Configuration > Global Settings. Under the Features tab, scroll to the Add On Modules section. Simply enable the add on and click save.
You should immediately see the Recruitment menu item appear in the main menu.
Access Levels
There are several access levels associated to this add-on. They will be displayed under the Control Permissions page in their own section.
We recommend you check these permissions to ensure the right levels have access.
Note: Staff members who will be shortlisting applications do not need to have access to the recruitment add-on. Once assigned as an application shortlister, the system will grant limited access to the associated applications.
This ensures the staff members can short list the applications and make decisions (based on their shortlisting role for that job position). It also ensures that these staff do not have access to further details of the applicants including the un-blinded application forms and private information.
